What Is An Extended Auto Warranty / Service Contract?
An Extended Auto Warranty or Service Contract is an agreement between the owner and the Warranty Company, obligating the Warranty Company to pay for repairs covered by the contract for a specific period of time. Your Vehicle is a major investment. With an extended auto warranty you are protecting yourself from the unexpected cost of mechanical breakdowns. One major repair often ends up costing as much, or even more than the entire cost of the warranty. An extended auto warranty will ensure that your Vehicle is always in the best mechanical condition.

Why do I need an extended warranty?
About one-third of all vehicles experience a failure in a given year. Should your vehicle fail after the factory warranty expires, you have nothing to protect you from repair costs that can be in the thousands of dollars. More importantly, owners will frequently put off needed repairs until they can afford the cost of the repair. This delay often results in additional damage to the vehicle, and often creates unsafe driving conditions. The risk of component failure and associated repair costs increases with your vehicle's age and mileage. Warranty Deals offers a variety of low cost, feature-packed extended warranties that protect your budget against unexpected repair charges. Think of an extended warranty as a risk-management tool that ensures that repairs to your vehicle are performed when they are needed. All Warranty Deals warranties are transferable so your vehicle will be worth more when you sell it. Contact one of our Customer Care Consultants to discuss the coverage that best fits your needs.

What do I do if my vehicle breaks down?
Filing a claim with your warranty is fast and easy. Your warranty booklet will clearly explain the coverage provisions and claim procedures. Here is how a typical claim works:

  • Take your vehicle to any reputable licensed service facility.
  • Give the service manager your warranty information.
  • The service manager will determine what repairs are necessary and call the Administrator to obtain a repair authorization number to repair your vehicle.
  • After the repairs are complete, the service facility will ask you to authorize the repair order with your signature.
  • The authorized repair order is then faxed to the Administrator.
  • The administrator will pay the service facility via check or major credit card.
  • You pay your deductible, if any, and you are on your way!

What if I do my own repairs? You can perform maintenance on your vehicle (such as oil changes), but you cannot perform your own mechanical repairs. Repairs must be preformed at a Licensed Repair Facility (meaning a repair facility licensed and/or regulated by the state to perform repairs for profit. The facility must have tax identification number). You must maintain a record of all maintenance work you perform on your vehicle.

Where are these extended warranties honored? The contract that you purchase through Warranty Deals is good at any ASE or ASA Certified Dealership or Repair Facility in all 50 states. This means that you do not have to take your vehicle into your local dealer.

How do I purchase and pay for an extended warranty from Warranty Deals? You can apply for an extended warranty right on the site or simply call us at our national toll free number. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express Credit Cards, as well as personal/business checks. All orders are processed immediately.

Is the extended warranty that I buy through Warranty Deals transferable?Yes. If you sell your vehicle, your Extended Warranty Express coverage is fully transferable. In most states there is a small $50 processing fee. This will increase the resale value of your vehicle to potential buyers.

Why should I buy now, while I still am covered by the factory warranty?Buying today will allow you to avoid paying higher rates later due to price increases. Most warranty companies charge higher amounts for an extended warranty as a vehicle ages. The newer the vehicle, the lower the price. Also, some benefits begin right away which include rental vehicle, trip interruption (food and lodging expenses) as well as towing. Buying today gives you peace of mind for tomorrow's repairs.

What is a VIN number, and where do I find it?A VIN # is the Vehicle Identification Number. It has 17 digits consisting of numbers and letters. The VIN # can be found on the lower driver's side dash board while looking in through the windshield or the inside of the driver's side door. It can also often be found on the proof of insurance card you carry in your wallet. The VIN number contains a formula that provides the details about your car as it was originally manufactured.

What type of vehicle does Warranty Deals have plans for?Warranty Deals offers coverage for most domestic and light commercial vehicles, including conversion vans, with an odometer reading of less than 150, 000 miles. Warranty Deals does not cover vehicles pulling a 5th wheel or gooseneck, or vehicles with after market modifications.

When am I responsible for the deductible? You are responsible for the deductible on a per occurrence basis. If multiple components are repaired during one occurrence, you pay just one deductible for the occurrence, not a deductible for each component.
