A service agreement for a vehicle comes in the form of warranty. Cadillac provides a basic warranty for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. There is no extended powertrain warranty for your Cadillac. An extended warranty is a long term service agreement that many turn to for protection of their investment. In many cases, the cost of one major repair is more than the cost of an extended warranty.

Huge technological advances have made vehicle maintenance very different in the last ten years. For example, spark plugs used to only last for 10,000 miles; today they last for 100,000 miles. So, it is important to check your Cadillac owner's manual for recommended regular maintenance. By following these guidelines you will reduce the chance repairs and ensure your Cadillac warranty remains intact. Be sure to keep all of your receipts as proof of maintenance.
Your Cadillac warranty requires you to have repair done by a certified Cadillac service technician. If you need a repair in an emergency situation, exceptions can be made. However, retain all pertinent paperwork for claims purposes.
As with repair work, all accessories and upgrades should be completed through your Cadillac dealership. Aftermarket parts and components are not covered by your warranty. These types of parts would consist of radios, speakers, remote sensors, alarms, and exhaust accessories. Refer to your owner's manual for any details regarding aftermarket parts.
You may want to consider a factory backed plan. Factory backed warranties are usually more expensive then those from independant providers and your choices of repair facility may be limited. A good source for a Cadillac
extended warranty is www.gm-auto-mall.com. Compare our pricing with GM backed plans.
