WarrantyDeals.com - Where auto warranty providers compete to give you the best deal DODGE EXTENDED WARRANTY

A Dodge vehicle comes with the original three year or 36,000 mile warranty, whichever comes first. This provides bumper to bumper coverage against defects in materials and workmanship. In addition, Dodge includes an extended powertrain warranty (for vehicles purchased between 11/1/01 and 7/8/02) for seven years or 100,000 miles. This powertrain extended warranty is limited to the original owner only. Vehicles purchased after 7/8/2002 and up to the 2005 model year came with a 7 year/70,000 mile powertrain warranty. Dodge dropped the powertrain extended warranty on all models starting with the 2006 model year. It can only be assumed that this was done as a cost cutting measure. The powertrain warranty is great if something major happens, like your engine or transmission going out. But, if you like being prepared for anything, it's a good idea to purchase an extended warranty, preferably before your original warranty expires.

Consider this...
When you consider that most people finance their vehicles for five, six or even seven years, you can see how the original three year or 36,000 mile Chrysler warranty leaves you exposed to many years of possible repair expenses. This is why purchasing an extended warranty is such a smart investment.

Dodge Warranty and Maintenance
Regular vehicle maintenance is one of the most important ways to maintain your Dodge warranty. Keep a log of your maintenance along with your receipts as proof that you have adhered to your maintenance duties. Refer to your owner's manual to ensure that you perform the proper maintenance.

Dodge Warranty Repairs
It is best to take your vehicle to a franchised Dodge dealership for repairs unless you are in an emergency situation. This will ensure that repairs are done properly, by a trained professional. Most people expect that repairs are always made with new components; however, this is not necessarily true. Repairs may actually be made with repaired, manufactured, or reconditioned parts.

Still have factory warranty remaining?
You may want to consider a factory backed plan. Factory backed warranties are usually more expensive then those from independant providers and your choices of repair facility may be limited.
