WarrantyDeals.com - Where auto warranty providers compete to give you the best deal LEXUS EXTENDED WARRANTY

Depending on your driving habits, the original 4 year or 50,000 miles bumper-to-bumper warranty that comes with your Lexus may or may not be enough protection against unforeseen costly repairs. Lexus vehicles also come with 6 year or 70,000 mile extended warranty; however, the extended warranty only provides powertrain coverage. Individuals who plan on driving long distances, such as a daily commute to work, my want to consider purchasing an extended bumper-to-bumper warranty that better protects their actual driving habits.

If you are thinking about purchasing an extended warranty, do it before the original manufacturer's warranty runs out. This will ensure that there are no lapses in your coverage and that you get better pricing on your warranty.

Maintaining Your Lexus Warranty
Like all manufactures, Lexus outlines two types of maintenance schedules in the owner's manual in order to preserve the integrity of your Lexus warranty. Drivers who do excessive stop and go driving, drive mostly short trips, operate their vehicle on dirt or bumpy roads, live in the heat, do a lot of uphill driving, or use it for towing should follow the "severe" schedule. All other types of driving usually fall under the normal maintenance schedule. Either way, it is important to keep track of your maintenance by way of a log or kept receipts to prove you have upheld your obligations to the warranty.

Lexus Warranty Repairs
Should your Lexus need to be repaired, utilizing an authorized Lexus dealership is the way to go. While Lexus would most likely reimburse you for a claim made elsewhere under an emergency situation, there is no guess work if you just go directly to the authorized dealer. You not only know that Lexus will accept your claim, but that they will use the quality parts needed to properly fix your vehicle regardless of whether those parts are new, refurbished, manufactured or repaired.

Aftermarket Parts
Aftermarket parts are not covered by your Lexus warranty. Just as you would with any repairs performed on your vehicle, it is important that you use an authorized Lexis dealership to install any aftermarket parts. Otherwise, the money you save installing them elsewhere could come back to cost you more if for some reason they cause failure to a part or component covered under the original warranty.
