A four year or 50,000 bumper-to-bumper warranty comes standard with all Lincoln models. This warranty covers against problems with parts and workmanship. Upon the completion of four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, the warranty is over and no extended warranty remains. Thus, it may be a good idea to purchase an extended warranty on your own, especially if you plan on driving more frequently or longer than the original warranty life.

As part of your obligation to keep your warranty in tact, you must perform regularly scheduled maintenance on your vehicle as described in the owner's manual. This will not only protect your coverage should you need repairs but minimize the number of potential repairs needed. Don't forget to determine whether your driving habits fall under the severe or normal maintenance schedule, following it accordingly.
Regardless of where you take your Lincoln for repairs, it is possible that new, used, refurbished and even manufactured parts may be used to fix it. This is an industry standard, so do not be alarmed. What is important, however, is that you check with Lincoln to ensure that wherever you take your vehicle, that Lincoln will authorize the repairs for reimbursement.
Often times, Lincoln owners make the mistake of installing aftermarket parts into their vehicle in hopes of saving money. Unfortunately, if the aftermarket parts are not installed at the dealership, their interruption of a normally covered part could negate the warranty.
You may want to consider a factory backed plan. Factory backed warranties are usually more expensive then those from independant providers and your choices of repair facility may be limited. A good source for a Lincoln
extended warranty is www.fordwarrantys.com. Compare our pricing with Ford backed plans.
