The original warranty on a Suzuki is for three years or 36,000 miles, which ever comes first. There is an extended warranty available on the powertrain for 7 years or 100,000 miles, however this only covers engine and transmission. While the original warranty covers against defects in materials or workmanship, under normal usage, without an extended warranty, you can be left with months of uncovered potential repairs. This is particularly applicable to those who finance for 48 months or more.

In order to keep your Suzuki warranty in force, you must maintain your vehicle according to the manual specifications. Filing service receipts with your owner's manual makes it easy to verify your service record. If Suzuki can prove that the vehicle was not maintained properly, it may void part or all of the vehicle failure. It is most important that you determine whether you use the vehicle for "normal" or "severe" duty. Note that "severe" duty includes: excessive stop and go driving, short distance driving, operating the vehicle in hot or mountainous terrains and towing.
It is Suzuki's policy that all repairs to your vehicle be completed at an authorized Suzuki franchise. Should you need repairs in an emergency situation or if there is not a Suzuki dealership near your, refer to your specific warranty for how to submit your invoice for reimbursement. Note: repaired or used components are frequently used in the repair of your new car. This is an industry trend and not unusual.
Suzuki will not cover any aftermarket parts or components you add to your car. If Suzuki proves that the addition of an aftermarket part results in the need for repair to your vehicle, they may also deny coverage.
